Starr Foster Dance is currently casting actors and guest dancers for the premiere of SHOUTING DISTANCE choreographed by Artistic Director, Starrene Foster
SHOUTING DISTANCE is about your neighbor (and their neighbor). This is a new dance-theatre work presented in vignettes, with the emcee as the driving force.

SEEKING 4 ACTORS/VOCALISTS
EMCEE/10 Year Resident: Male-identifying actor to serve as the emcee. Age 30 to 100. This role presents a fantastic chance for collaboration, allowing the actor to play a key part in shaping the script to best suit their personality. We’re looking for a dynamic artist who is comfortable with improvisation and has a magnetic presence that engages the audience.
VISITOR #1: Male identifying actor with tenor to baritone vocal range. Age 30 year+. Will perform one monologue and 1 song
NEIGHBOR #1: Female identifying actor with F#3-B4 vocal range. Age 40+. Will perform 1 song and 1 monologue
NEIGHBOR #2: Female identifying actor at least 22 years old. Will perform two monologues.
(these are non-dancing roles…unless you feel like dancing a little)
ACTOR COMMITMENT
REHEARSALS: 2 Sundays 6pm-9pm March 29th and April 5th (emcee will also rehearse Sunday March 22nd)
TECH Tuesday April 7th 7pm-10:30pm
DRESS Wednesday April 8th 7pm-10:30pm
5 PERFORMANCES: Thursday April 9th 7:30PM / Friday April 10th 7:30PM / Saturday April 11th 3PM & 6PM / Sunday April 12th 3PM
This is a paid opportunity. Actors will receive materials February 1st.
